Miniaturize

The ability for us to make big and small interests me. How is it that we can expand and at the same time contract? During colonization we expand . If this is true then it is possible for us to contract. However us humans are greedy and born with a hole that can never be filled. It would take a cataclysmic event for us to contract back in to the safety of the shell as the slug does . There is something eerie about our ability to zoom in and zoom out.
