Using the synthetic wax was a a bad idea. It dries cloudy and just fake. When mixing it with the hair it only created problems. HOwever it is a great way to tone down the skin into a more milky Anglo look. Milky skin is hard to paint and the delicate pinks and blends of white are difficult to achieve.
Most of the models I have here in Hawaii have a beautiful golden copper look to their skin due to the exposure to sun. Surfing hiking and just being outside here in Hawaii can really help you bloom into a beautiful human being.
CLEANING OUT THE FAKE WAX OUT OF EMILY'S HAIR |
When having to work back into the model, it tends sometimes to become very visceral. Sometimes I feel like im doing real surgery on a body due to the hair the delicacy of the process and the warmth that the wax projects, not to mentioned the realism of the skin painted body. Here it seems like im digging through her brain. Ugh
Warming of the upper layers of wax is very important when heating the whole body. This will prevent cracking and ugly formations on the skin. This is Caitlin's full body getting ready to be poured. Another layer of pure wax will be needed to cover her whole body to have her ready for the tattoo.
Again the Visceral feeling of actually doing brain surgery is still there. Manipulating the wax with the heat gun is very difficult. HEat comes out in kray kray way and is hard to tell in which way the heat will concentrate and decimate.
After Pouring Caitlin I moved into releasing her from her tomb. The epitaph of the door was doing her more bad than good spiritually I believe a lot of these paintings are connected to the real person in a a way of mild voodoo.
I have become some sort of body snatcher. After the pouring and the cutting Caitlin is ready for her second layer and tattoo. |
